Step 6: Terminate Wiring and Ground Correctly

Ground the fixture. Always. Even if the old fixture wasn't grounded. If the box is plastic and the fixture has a ground screw, run a bonding jumper to a grounded metal part. This is not a place for shortcuts.

Step 7: Test, Aim, and Document
